Further success in Eastern Europe
Romanian operator chooses Money Controls Ardac Elite
2009/03/17
After the recent success with Eastern European operator Game World, Money Controls has added another casino to the growing number who now specify its Ardac Elite bill acceptor. The decision by the Casino Palace in Bucharest follows a closely monitored trial which saw Ardac Elite retrofitted to several of the casino's slots.
The results of the trial echo those in other casinos in Romania, with first-time acceptance rates of over 98% for street-grade bills. And this despite the peculiarities of Romanian bills: being made of polymer and with features such as transparent windows.
Casino Palace, the most luxurious casino in Bucharest, is part of Queenco Leisure International group, which operates casinos in Greece and Serbia, as well as Romania.
Ali Birbudak, Slot Operation Director at Casino Palace, was delighted with the performance of Ardac Elite during the trial: "I was hoping that the acceptance rates in our slot machines would improve, but I was not expecting almost 100% acceptance of genuine bills. The reliability of Ardac Elite also meant that there was no downtime of the machines right throughout the trial. I now intend to specify Ardac Elite in all our new machines."
Dina Ivanova, Money Controls' Eastern Europe Sales Manager, was equally delighted: "Queenco Leisure International is a prestigious player in the European gaming market, so adding one of their casinos to the list of those who specify Ardac Elite is a major coup for us. We look forward to working with Queenco in the future."
